This is a non-competitive event, with the only requirement being to complete the entire route in a single day, within a maximum estimated time of 12 hours.
We firmly believe that we can always do more for our community, especially for less fortunate children who need support for a better life. With Children's International Day in mind, on June 1st, we have decided to truly dedicate this day to children and to bring attention and support to orphans and abandoned children, not just to our own!
As passionate runners, we aim to visit these children in their home, offering them a special running event, showing them that they are important and that they deserve every effort from us to provide them with a better future.
Although this is an ultramarathon, the "100 for Children" event is accessible and can be completed as a relay with five runners, as long as the team covers the entire 100-kilometer distance. The main purpose of the event is to raise funds for the supported cause, making this the real "competition" and the ultimate challenge for every participant.
We invite you to join this extraordinary experience—whether as participants, donors, or simply as supporters!
All donations collected through "100 for Children" will be directed towards the children living in the Valea Plopului camp.
This marathon is not just a race; it is an expression of compassion, involvement, and awareness of the realities these children face. After completing the race, we will join the children for a campfire, share a meal together, sleep at the camp, celebrate their special day, and enjoy an unforgettable experience!
Each runner will have a personal fundraising page on the competition's website – 100forchildren.ro, in the "Participants" section, as well as on the Galantom platform. Donations can be made easily online using any bank card by accessing the participant's individual fundraising page. The fundraising role involves encouraging close friends and family to donate and directing them to the fundraiser’s page.
The "100 for Children" Ultramarathon is a non-competitive sporting event entirely dedicated to a charitable cause. The real "competition" lies in raising funds to make a meaningful impact and effectively support the children of Valea Plopului. Every online donation is transferred directly to the Pro Vita Association account, and all funds raised by runners/fundraisers are exclusively used to support the cause.

Each participant will run as much as they can in the order agreed upon within the team, with the essential requirement that the entire distance is covered, with each participant completing their assigned segment.
