We are a community of over 250 souls, including single mothers and children, disadvantaged children, people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, and abandoned elderly people. We live in a picturesque landscape, in the charming village of Valea Screzii, in homes provided by Pro Vita Association. Our houses are bathed in sunlight and watched over by the beautiful church on the hill.
We have a small farm with chickens, cows, donkeys, and even ponies that keep us busy, and we cultivate our own fruits and vegetables. We have learned to support each other, to understand and accept one another, and to unite in faith.
We arrived here because life did not offer us the opportunity to have our own homes or decent living conditions, because we could not care for ourselves, or because the environment we lived in before caused us more harm than good.
Here, we have almost everything we need for a simple life: furnished and equipped homes, food, clothing, a library with a study area, a kitchen and a large dining hall, a playground, toys, bicycles, Wi-Fi access, and much more.
We are people just like everyone else, with needs, desires, and dreams. We wish to no longer worry about tomorrow, to have enough firewood for heating, to have stable jobs, to express our talents, to go to the cinema, to travel, to study, to become independent, and to contribute to the well-being of future generations.
We receive help from kind-hearted people and generous companies who understand the importance of covering our basic needs. Some of them have become lifelong friends. We have noticed that those who visit us often grow fond of us and this place so much that they return frequently to recharge with our positive energy.
